Place of concerts, ice-hockey matches and markets in one arena. To get to OSTRAVAR ARÉNA take tram lines no. 2, 3, 7, 11 and 19 to tram stop Sport aréna or tram lines no 12, 17 and 18 to tram stop Dolní.

The New Town Hall is the most famous building in Ostrava and the largest town hall complex in the Czech Republic and it is situated on the square called Prokeš Square Ostrava offers new perspective how to perceive the city from the tower. To get to Prokeš Square and New Town Hall take trolleybus lines no. 101, 102, 103, 106, 111 and 113 to trolleybus stop Nová radnice or tram lines no. 1, 2, 8, 9, 11, 14 and 18 to tram stop Důl Jindřich. Prokeš Square is roughly 500 metres far to Prokeš Square on foot.

Exhibition Ground is official place in the city centre for hosting exhibitions in two congress pavilions. Next to Exhibition Ground is a park, where visitors and inhabitants can relax. Silesian Ostrava Castle is a monument that shows history of Ostrava. It is a place of many cultural festivals and weekend actions, so as open-air cinema in summer. World at one place can be seen in MINIUNI – little exhibition of world´s famous frameworks. Zoo Ostrava is well-known as a salvager of many endangered species, e.g. northern lynx. This animal became the official logo of the zoo. There are many exhibits in the zoo and many programs, in which the visitors can be involved, e. g. animal adoption. To get to zoo take trolleybus line no. 104 and 111 to trolleybus stop ZOO.

Dolní Vítkovice is a unique, globally renowned area in the centre of Ostrava. Pig iron was produced between 1828 and 1998 in this area. Nowadays the industrial complex has transformet into a unique educational, social and cultural centre of a significance reaching b eyond the region. The area is worldwide known as a place of music festivals – Colours of Ostrava, Beats for Love. Science and Technology centre can be found here – these centres presents science as a fun game that is easily understandable. To get to Dolní oblast Vítkovice take tram lines no. 1, 2, 6 and 10 to tram stop Dolní Vítkovice (also tram lines no. 1 and 2 to tram stop Dolní Vítkovice Hlubina) or bus lines no. 351, 353, 354, 361, 443, 670 and 735 to bus stop Ostrava, Vítkovice, Dolní Vítkovice. Dolní oblast Vítkovice is also accessible from train station Ostrava střed – to get to Ostrava střed use train lines R27, R61 and S6.

Everyone can explore universe and planets in Johann Palisa Observatory and Planetarium, which offers interesting program every day. To visit Observatory and Planetarium take bus line no 20, 37 and 40 to bus stop Studentské koleje – observatory is roughly 1 km far on foot from this bus stop. Other possibility is to take bus line no. 46 to bus stop U Zahrádek – observatory also roughly 1 km far on foot. Third option is to take bus lines no. 46, 47, 271, 286, 287 and 288 to bus stop Pustkovecká and walk roughly 1.5 km.

The most fabulous chateau in Czech Republic is in Hradec nad Moravicí. Rich history, many places to walk and rest in ornamental garden and park. Chateau is well-known because of eight dukes Lichnovský in six generations. Each duke was individual of extraordinary education, interests, abilities and contacts. Narrow-gauge railroad was built during the time of the Austrian-Hungarian monarchy. It was put into operation on 14th December 1898. The regulations valid at that time permitted building railways longer than 20 km. To fulfil this requirement constructors decided to artificially prolong this railroad by many curves. Today this narrow-gauge railroad is a technical monument with a 20 km line length and 760 mm track width. Steam historical trains are operated during summer on this railroad. To explore Krnov and neighbourhood visit Lookout Cvilín. Lookout is made of bricks and stones, it is 436 metres elevation above see-level, its height is 29 metres and to get on the top you need to step up 28 outdoor and 96 indoor steps. To visit Krnov take train lines R27 and S10 to train station Krnov-Cvilín and walk roughly 2 km or take bus lines no. 811, 812, 813, 814, 815, 816, 817, 818, 819, 822, 823, 824, 825, 826, 891, 892, 894 and 895 to bus stop Krnov, autobusové stanoviště and walk roughly 2 km.

One of most famous castle complex in Czech Republic. Hukvaldy is a place for tourism and relaxation. After removal of flats and offices to settlement around the castle Hukvaldy became ruins. It is a historical place not only because of ruins, but it is also known by opera composer Leoš Janáček. On the way to the castle through deer-park you can see a fox statue that symbolizes opera Liška Bystrouška. Štramberk is a picturesque little town known as Moravian Bethlehem. It is a centre of the Štramberk Highlands and it is spread over the slopes of Castle Hill, Kotouč, White Mountain, Libotín Hills and Red Stone. Štramberk was founded on the 4th December 1359 by Czech king, King John of Luxembourg. The town and the surrounding area are dominated by the ruins of the Stallenberg castle including a cylindrical tower called Trúba. Štramberk is famous for its sweet-smelling gingerbread called Štramberk Ears (Štramberské uši). Visit world-recognised phenomenon: TATRA was founded during several decades from a small workshop in Kopřivnice, where Ignác Šustala began constructing coaches, sledges and traps. Later on TATRA became well-known because of cars, trucks and railway coach called Slovenská Strela. Silesian Musem can be thought of as a gate to Silesia with a scope extending from both animate and inanimate object to prehistory, history and art history, primarily with regard to the history of Silesia, as well as north and northwest Moravia.
